June 11, 2013 with Zach Curd

Zach-tapeZach Curd is not only the man behind the music of Quack! Media and Suburban Sprawl Music, but he’s also my longtime bandmate in the Pop Project and one of my oldest friends. So it was a pleasure to join him for his debut DJ set. On Zach’s suggestion, the night started with an hour of all classical music, which I was expecting to make people angry and confused but I shouldn’t have underestimated the audience because people got into it and were coming up with their own classical requests. The night covered a lot of musical ground, with a healthy dose of 80s dance music.  Unfortunately, due to circumstances and my pompous oversight, I accidentally deleted the recording of this night! Sorry Zach and all fans of classical music and 80s dance music (one and the same obviously). The playlist is below, so you can read through and imagine the greatness that it was.
