October 30, 2012 – Zombie Dance Party 9 with Mike Trombley

This was the ninth annual Zombie Dance Party, a party started by Carey in her garage that has retained that DIY team spirit and creativity while becoming one of the best Halloween bashes in Detroit. Mike Trombley, who puts on the Macho City and Happy Endings dance parties, joined me behind the turntables for spooky tunes, and there were live sets by Betty Cooper, Cosmic Light Shapes and “The Trashy Troggs.” And it was Devil’s Night! Check out our set below, which starts after about 15 minutes of early mood music: The Twin Peaks soundtrack mixed with “Revolution 9” and “Lux Aeterna.”
