\nBeing the Tuesday before St. Patrick’s Day, I was very fortunate to have the Codgers as my special guests in the forest. \u00a0The self-described “Celtic-Americana” band, who plays the\u00a0majority of their shows in the Corktown neighborhood, made a rare appearance in Ferndale, along with guest fiddle player Alison Perkins. Alison also plays on their brand new record, which I actually recorded. You can check it out here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Below you can hear our DJ set, which had me trading songs with Matt, Steve, and Patrick throughout the night. There was a decent sprinkling of Irish music throughout the night, but we didn’t stick to the theme exclusively. Since the last two Tuesdays had been exclusive themes, I was able to debut a few of the many great records I’ve acquired over the past six weeks.\u00a0I also made an audience recording of the Codgers live set, which can be enjoyed at the link below.<\/p>\n
